We are authors of two books. The first book we wrote in 2004 titled indigenous foods of South Africa. It has about 5 SA ethnic groups’ recipes included. Then in 2014 we wrote a second edition. This has 11 ethnic groups included, including the Khoisan and the Afrikaner recipes.
We also sell Sutherlandia tea, scientifically named Sutherlandia frutescense. The plant from which this tea is harvested from is indigenous to South Africa.
We host food festivals annually around May in Mokopane. We do this in line with South Africa’s celebration of Africa month in May. We also host other food festivals in September, which is heritage month in South Africa.
We also exhibit indigenous foods, our books and our foods in other people’s festivals in around the country and on the continent.
